#Red Cliff International Version – Part I & Part II# Best Cheap Discount Sales Reviews

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I preferred the edited version. This is a film about the battle at Red Cliff. The battle itself is spectacular and every important scene concerning it is included in the shorter version. There is some “cute” extra material in the longer version concerning a relationship between Sun Quan’s sister and a good natured enemy soldier but the resolution is totally predictable and this relationship is not from the book, where Lady Sun marries Liu Bei. The extended version has an annoyingly modern and overused “heroic” theme song which would sound more appropriate in a Star Trek film. It is used sparingly in the shorter version. The extended version also includes ridiculous scene “transitions” (pages being ripped in half) which are absent in the theatrical version. I watched both versions before I read the book and didn’t feel the extended version at all clarified the sometimes confusing plot. Watch the theatrical version and then read the book, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

RED CLIFF is the epic historical drama

southward-bound mission designed to crush the two troublesome warlords who stand in his way, Liu Bei and Sun Quan. Vastly outnumbered by Cao Cao’s brutal,
fast-approaching army, the warlords band together to mount a heroic campaign – unrivaled in history – that changes the face of China forever.

Red Cliff – Hopeless –
a foreign movie that is quite spectacular in every scene of the movie that is done to detail, John Woo the director is one of the top people in his profession, action packed with a love for a woman that starts a manipulated war of deceit, revenge and survival.

…WOW… – veja_1 – Westerville, Ohio
okay it is rare that i ever give 5 stars, but this movie is absolutely EPIC. i feel like everyone on the planet should be required by international law to take an afternoon and watch Red Cliff. its just that good.

its long. its very long, over 4 hours. but its beautifully done. it starts slow, the first 20 minutes or so really drag a little, but then it picks up, and the fight scenes from there are so amazing… John Woo has the most incredible mind. i can’t wait to see what he releases here next :)
